Compassionate Cymru small grant fund 2025

Our small grant fund is currently open to applications. Communities in Wales can apply for up to £500 to kick start, develop or maintain activities to support communities to be compassionate in relation to death, dying and bereavement; whether this is in a workplace, care home or in the local community.

Examples could be; a small workplace wanting to start a group to support those whose lives have been affected by cancer, or later life planning session for its staff, or an art project with people living in care homes who want to talk about end of life, or a tea and coffee morning to kick start a Death Cafe etc. The ideas will be led by what is needed in the local communities applying. If you’re unsure if what you’re thinking fits the grant fund, just drop us a message.

The grant programme is quite flexible and can be used to fund one off events, or a programme of activities, online or offline.

Applicants do not need to be registered charities, but they will be expected to have formal structures in place and a bank account. Joint applications between groups can also be considered.

The deadline for submitting an application is end of the day Friday 23 May 2025.
